Ses Covetes

About 2 miles east of Sa Rapita rests the small fishing village Ses Covetes in the middle of the picturesque Playa Es Trenc. It takes you about 35 minutes (27 miles) to get to the airport in Palma.

Everyone who seeks a quiet spot, finds the paradise here in September to June.
There are only around 40 houses and 5 bars/restaurants, which are busily visited by tourists in the main season.

From the middle of July to the end of August the tourism flourishes at the Es Trenc.
As fast as the little village was flooded with tourists, it dies out again and goes back to normal around mid-September.

Have a sunbath with or without swimwear

The high season is celebrated by renting holiday homes and casitas (there are no hotels in Ses Covetes), parasols and sunbeds on the beach.

You can have a sunbath with or without swimwear (nudist beach present) on the largest native beach of Majorca.

As fast as the little village was flooded with tourists, it dies out again and goes back to normal around mid-September.

The tranquility in the pine-woods

Due to the tranquility and the proximity to the sea, a stay in the surrounding of the Es Trenc is a dream come true, especially for stressed persons who want a relaxing holiday in the nature. You can have walks for hours through the pine-woods or the dunes.
The village is on both sides surrounded by the Caribbean-like beach. So there is only one road that connects Ses Covetes to the outside world.

Magnificent sunsets

Watch the magnificent sunsets for example from the balcony of the Casa Nueva.

The whole area is protected, therefore you can find untouched nature like nowhere else on the island.

The beach which is surrounded by pines, segues into dunes which separate 8 km of white sand and turquoise water from the rest of the island.

Restaurants in Ses Covetes

Restaurants can be found at the Playa Es Trenc or at the Playa Rapita.

To point out is the “Ran de Mar”, where you have to ask for fresh fish, it´s really tasty!!!! The “Bar Esperanza”, which is owned by a German restaurant reviewer, provides a light kitchen which partly has some Asiatic influence as well and offers Campero (organic) dishes.

22° water temperature, also in November

The water is usually remarkably clear. In the months of September, October and sometimes also in November, the water has an temperature of 22° and the beach is visited acceptably visited. In the low season locals are living in their houses at the weekends. They greet each other and spend a tranquil and relaxing time by the sea.

Here is a piece of “idyllic world”, say our guests. If young or old, here you can enjoy a phantasmagorical holiday with the whole family. The stressed parents find rest on the white sanded beach or in the dunes, while their children have fun in the probably biggest sandpit Europe’s. There are no boundaries for the fun in the water, because the turquoise colored water is gently sloping and easy to supervise. And if you´d like to take grandma and grandpa or some friends with you? They will surely find some space in our offered houses.
